My earlier build was a bit too light on being able to single target heal and that is why I did some more research and testing. This deficiency shows up mostly in 10 and 5 mans.

I would only go my earlier route if you knew you were always going to be raid healing and/or tank hotting. If you feel that you will need to step in and single target a tank, you will want to ensure that you have the buffs for nourish IMO.

That's an interesting build, Kyliaar. I've moved 'paws to a 25man raiding guild now and I must say, healing 25s is quite different to 10s so I may have a review of my spec and see where I can change it, if needs be.

I have modified my build to favor nouish more heavily while remaining with the haste and HoT aspects of my build. It has been working out nicely.

Agreed, the Black Knight was the most intensive healing I've done since Ulduar 10man. I think if I was a 25man healer and was a bit out of touch I'd have struggled with that but it was just like being in 10 man progression again lol.

I've been doing some 5 man healing with the new content patch. The black knight can get quite intensive. It is making me remember skills I have forgotten in my raid optimization very quickly. :-)

Thanks for the link, I'll have a read of that when I get some spare minutes :)

I think Lifebloom will be just used as another hot, like rejuv, and if the bloom is useful then that's a bonus. Although, it's going to suck on Loatheb (we still run Naxx for fun). I think it's a shame we don't all need to use Innervate, but I'm not about to start complaining about it...I quite like having it as a backup just in case :D

Thanks for the info on what is coming up on 3.2. As mainly a 25 man healer, I know most of my healing comes from LB ticks, not its bloom so the 20% decrease probably won't change my effective healing much.

I do try to use innervate. My heal style is constantly spamming HoTs so I try to keep my regen at a point where I use innervate often. Otherwise, I feel I am loosing gear points that could be going to other stats, like Spell Power.

I actually talk quite a bit about my take on healing here:
