UFO over Farnham details
At roughly 00:38 on Friday 26th Jun (today as I type this) I was looking out of my bedroom window into the darkness when I spotted a bright orange light taking off on a curved take-off trajectory, gaining height to just above the tree line and maintaining a steady, level flight silently for a few minutes. This was followed, initially by 2 or 3 more shortly after one another, all performing in exactly the same fashion.
I tried grabbing my video camera, which promptly died due to uncharged battery, so grabbed my digital camera instead, sprinted downstairs but couldn’t see them outside for long enough to get a picture as they were going behind the trees.
Thinking “well, that was bizarre” I popped back upstairs and posted up on Twitter only to see two more take off. So, back down we go, and I managed to snap some pictures of the UFOs passing by. Now, by UFO I don’t mean aliens, by UFO I mean Unidentified Flying Object…which was what they were.
So, yes, they were seen flying over Farnham, Surrey. I’m intrigued as to what they were. Excited and intrigued. Could it be aliens? (okay, no, highly unlikely!) Could it be some sort of government conspiracy, or testing of secret drones by the military and air force? Okay I’m just toying with you to increase the excitement. Sorry!

UPDATE: Chinese lanterns! I had never seen them flying before but managed to catch a proper look as some more flew over on Nov 5th. What an interesting thing, I might get some just to see what they’re like.

Aliens,doubtfull….government conspiracy, again, no. I doubt our government could find its arse with an atlas so a conspiracy is way out of there league, unless it was a conspiracy about who drank all the tea, interesting shots though, well done on capturing what ever the hell it is.

Hi Dave, I forgot to update my post but back on bonfire night a load of these flew over and I managed to get a closer look at them. Chinese lanterns! Haha.
We saw the orange lights as well over Farnham at about 5.35 last night.
What were they?
From what I’ve found out, the lights I saw were Chinese Lanterns
