Sweat, Thanks, Gladiators & Stephen Fry

blog-gladiator.jpgAs I sit here at the computer, beholding the exquisite figure sprawled across my Mac’s desktop (Kate Beckinsale, if you were wondering), procrastinating over the poster I have to make for the ‘Gardening Club’ at the school my mother works at, I find myself – with slight confusion and no explanation – sat in full gladiatorial accoutrement; the harmonious and hauntingly vocal tracks from the Gladiator soundtrack tickling my ear bones while I slip, dreamily, in and out of a glorious battle with a bloodied counterpart who shall soon fall foul of my blade as I deliver a perfectly timed, snappy one-liner in Latin (Stephen Fry would be impressed, especially after the thorough tutorials he gave me in the language. I have learnt much from Mr Fry and his gargantuan abyss of knowledge)*.

Sorry, I was gone for a moment there.

The purpose of this shorter blog entry is merely to thank everyone who has viewed LetMeRephraseThat.com since its inception. The statistics graph vaguely resembles a rough sketch of the Himalayas but the night before last (2nd Jan) we broke through the tape at the 3,000 views checkpoint. I’m aware this is not a massive amount compared to some of you other bloggers but for me, whose blogs and websites are rarely viewed at all, this is very good news. I do feel this figure could not have been attained without the help of Richard Madeley’s Appreciation Society, Digg and StumbleUpon, so do check them out.

So thank you, people of the interweb! Keep reading, feel free to leave comments and you are all now fully entitled to treat yourself to some cake…or whatever else tickles your fancy.

Roll on 10,000 views.

  1. Wow, 3000 views already! That’s some going. I feel even more humble and small in your company.

And many thanks for the link. Hope I get some of that traffic.

  2. Oh I’m sure my statistics are meagre compared to yours, Mr Madeley! When it comes to quality vs. quantity however, I think you’re a heavyweight with quality, whereas I’m more light-middleweight.

The pleasure is mine. My stats show you get at least 1 click a day from here, which I’m pleased about.
