The Spice Girls are back and re-touring. Take That are back and re-touring. The Eagles are back and re-touring (but they’re actually good!). And talking about good things returning, Knight Rider is back!!!!
Yes, the original fans are getting on a bit now but Knight Rider will always be cool, regardless of how cheesy it is. Whilst “The Hoff” is not playing Michael Knight – Michael Knight’s replacement is his son, played by ex-Abercrombie & Fitch model, Justin Bruening, and The Hoff will be making a guest appearance…he has to – the cast member we’re all no-doubt wondering about is KITT.

KITT is no longer the KITT we remember. In fact, there are three of them now; KITT Remote, KITT Hero and KITT Attack, all slight variations of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
KITT has a supercomputer which is able to hack into other computer systems and weapons, and with the help of nanotechnology (oh how times have changed) its body can shapeshift and change colors. Combined with artificial intelligence, KITT is once again the ultimate, and probably the coolest, crime-fighting machine.
Okay, so it’s not really to my taste – I’m not a fan of the new ‘stang at all, and the body kit is a bit too “Fast & Furious” for my liking – but there’s something inherently cool about KITT. I think the car could have been made a bit more discreet and sleek like the original as it’s a bit brash and obtrusive now…but times change and it’ll be interesting to see what the actual programme is like.
The two-hour long television movie will air on NBC (US), February 17 at 9 p.m. ET.
